Bream in the Hawkesbury River

Fishing in both the Hawkesbury River and Berowra Creek offer some excellent catches ranging from bream, flathead, jewfish, blue swimmer crabs and mud crabs. Bait can be purchased from the marina shop however we have heard that chicken breasts or tenders cut into strips and marinated in the smelliest parmesan cheese overnight makes excellent bait!

To recreationally fish in these excellent rivers and creeks you will need further information about fishing regulations and obtain a short term recreational fishing licence which costs $6.00 for three days or $12.00 for a month and can be done online. Please note that under 18’s do not require a licence.

If you happen to arrive at Berowra Waters Studio without a fishing licence and would like to give it a go then please let us know and we can arrange a recreational fishing licence for you online.
